I was forced to go behind the line of what people assume is instant death. Like and subscribe if you enjoy the video. Uploading the 1:40:52 long continuation of that playthrough whenever I can.

Wow, I have only beat one of those types of battles when the Rebel fleet caught up to me. The next jump was death, since I was damaged, no scrap, and no fuel. This game hates me.

Those fights aren't too hard if you're well equipped. In fact after a while they become quite easy.

Of course, there's no reward for them other than a fuel, so it's not like it's worth doing... unless you're achievement hunting. :p

I was thinking about it but I didn't know if there was an achievement like that. Something like visit every station in a sector.

You can farm them for fuel if you're bored, and for masteries as well. If you've got decent shields, a drone recovery arm and a defense drone you'll usually get a good stalemate going, and if you're able to take them out without wasting missiles, you're good to farm.

Yea i had a similar playthrough where instead of burning the crew I'd ionize their weapons, oxygen, and med bays till they asphyxiated but if i left their oxygen alone I could ionize just their shields and weapons for ever with my 2 ion blast II's and train any crew member max weapons. But this only trained a single system instead of 3. If I managed to find the right ship with the right weapons I probably could leave their ionizing of weapons alone and focus the engines or pilot for more accuracy.

What makes a more fun video, running away or burning and boarding rebel ships
