Hi,
I have a problem: because of bad weather outside, the the power went down a couple of times in the house and the pc has shut off

I fear that starting again FTL will automatically erease my previous save file (save+quit).
Is there a way to recover my playthrough? (I had a quite decent ship and a well trained crew )

If you had the time to select "Save & Quit" in the menu before the computer shut off, then there should be no problem restarting your game. Unfortunately, if the computer shut off while the game was running, then I'm afraid your game is lost.

What happens is that the game deletes the save file right after you use "Continue", and only creates it again when you use "Save & Quit".

No, I couldn't because I was in the middle of a fight

Undelete should recover the previous save files, but I'm not sure which files you'd need to recover.

Here's one from glary, which is a highly trusted name...

Restoring {My Document}\My Games\FasterThanLight\continue.sav should be enough if I'm not mistaken.

I tried with "Recuva" but the file has already been overwritten and couldn't be recovered.

Seems like I had to definetely say goodbye to my best crew (since now)
