New Update doesn't help ;(

Hello HaloFlare here!
If anyone reads this I would be overjoyed to know how to fix a start up bug, where the screen turns white but the music still plays... I would really delited if anyone has any advice or suggestions for me.
PS: I can run GMOD fine and im pertty sure that this computer can handle FTL, I will post what my computer can do...

The specs for the M5100 show that your graphics card is an ATI Radeon X1200
If that is true for your PC, go here and download/install an updated driver for your graphics card:

No guarantees, but it's worth a try

You can download the drivers by going to that website:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/w ... iw_xp.aspx and then scrolling down to the bottom and choosing "Download." Screenshot below.

Then just run the file that it downloads to update

Downloading drivers directly from AMD's website will not harm your computer. AMD is the manufacturer of your graphics card, which is what the game uses to draw itself on your screen. If the computer you are using is owned by your parents, I would recommend showing them this thread and asking for their assistance in installing the new drivers.
Please also keep in mind that internet forums are not real-time, and thus you may not immediately get a response to your question. It is not necessary to reply again in order to get a response.
