I've now done the stated requirement for this achievement twice and not recieved it! Really annoying, and it makes getting the B layout of the rockship really friggin' hard.

I just did this one yesterday, actually. They even stopped using defense drones halfway through the fight and it still counted.

First time I did it I also activated a defense drone, didn't get the achievement, so I figured it was really particular about not activating anything but missiles.

So next time I made sure I never powered up anything but my missiles, and only used my missiles. And I still did not get it.

This was on two separate runs, and I've spent more than 5 hours trying to get this friggin' achievement!

THIRD FAIL! No non-missile offensive system was ever even powered up during the fight, no non-offensive drones even, only shields, oxygen and missiles recieved power during any time.

Very strange. Sorry about this. If you email me you profile file I'd be happy to add the achievement.

Two things. I promise to double check my side if you promise to double check yours

1) Can you take a screenshot? I just want to double check all the weapons/load-outs to see if I can tell where it's incorrectly flagging you as failing.

Fourth time's the charm apparently... got it.

The thing that screws it seems to be having non-missile weapon systems EQUIPED. Even if not powered up.

It shouldn't work that way I'll check it out. You weren't using bombs right?

No I wasn't using bombs, only missiles.

I also had problems with this achievement.

Possible things that could have screwed it up:
- I started the fight with a couple of laser weapons powered up, though I immediately switched to missiles without ever firing or fully charging the lasers.
- I used my cloaking device.
- The enemy had two defense drones, not just "a defense drone".

I didn't fire any other weapons or deploy any drones. I was using two missile launchers, but I don't remember exactly which ones.


In a later game I encountered a defense drone enemy much earlier in the game when I only had missile launchers, and I did get the achievement for that one.

I've tried this achievement several times with nothing but missiles and failed each time.
I had other weapons installed but never fired them (had them powered up at the start but turned them off a second into the fight)

Looks like a bug to me.
