Artillery probems

I was making a ship mod, and I gave it artillery. When I tested the beam, it appeared from the top left-hand corner of the screen. Any ideas on how to fix it?
You need a 5th weapon mount.
Don't need to add a 5th slot, just a 5th weapon.
Fun fact: Even ships with 3 weapons slots need 5 weapons mounts if you want artillery.
