Final fight went bad after the first flagship battle. But my crew's sacrifice was not in vain. Last missile volley exchange finished off both of our ships. VICTORY AT ANY COST.

Wow, that's some way to win, the old heroic death style. Reminds me of Freespace 2.

Also good to see the devs coded for such an event.

Yeah, it happened to me too (with the same ship, probably because it doesn't have cloak which makes boss a piece of cake). I've also seen people already writing about that even before that my win, so it's not that rare .

I see I'm not the only one who names an engi "Legion"
I'm fascinated by that low O2 reading. They must've all been huddled in the medbay or cycling in/out of it to survive that long?

Nope wasn't like that. Oxygen room was the first room boarded, and with my boarding teams dead to the first stage. I didn't think my feeble Engi's could hold them off. Even with med bay takes a long time and I decided I needed extra shield recharge/evasion more. Tried to vent the boarders out, but they continued to storm through the ship, took out the medbay next. Engine room took hull breaches and vacated that toward the end. Shield room eventually was attacked directly at the end as well.

Yup my first run with the kestrel that made it to the boss, had a similar experience. Still is my 2nd high score from an easy game.

That ship is most likely doomed. You have massive fires in two low-power systems, which will each do a hull damage when they hit bingo.

I died at the same time as the boss on the second stage. Had excess power and repair drones so it was mostly my own damn fault for forgetting to heal.
