Hi.
I have bought FTL from steam.
I've downloaded a few MODS.
Slipstream V1.6 detects these MODS, however it is unable to patch them:
Patching failed: java.io.FileNotFoundException: .\backup\data.dat.bak (The system cannot find the path specified)
I've searched the forum for about 2 hours now and tried all sorts.
Can someone please help.
Thanks!

Did you select the correct file the first time you started SMM and it prompted you to find a file?
Not a great expert at this but try creating the directory yourself.
So in SMM create a folder called backup (if you don't have one) and put in your data.dat you can find in :
\Steam\SteamApps\common\FTL Faster Than Light\resources and rename the file you placed in the SMM\backup folder to data.dat.bak

@Biohazard063:
Belay that.
@observer1:
- Download Slipstream from a SourceForge link, NOT GitHub.
- Extract the archive somewhere, like your desktop. Don't merely double-click files inside the archive.
- Sounds like you got that far. But there ought to be a "backup" folder included already.
- Ensure FTL is not running.
- Run slipstream, and attempt to patch. That will create "data.dat.bak" automatically.
If you still get the error, copy the contents of modman-log.txt,
and paste that in a reply here between [ code ][ /code ] tags.
