Sound Bug after ending the Game

Hello,
i have a very big problem with FTL :
Every time when i end the game with log out correctly or closing steam i do not have any sound at win 7
.
Only a reboot helps me !
What can i do to avoid this huge bug please?
Sound Card: Asus Xonar D2x (very fine sound card)

Has this problem occurred with other Steam games, or other programs on your computer?
Have you verified that you are using the latest Asus drivers?

I'm having the same issue - if I play music outside the game in the background, or after the game has finished, I experience a distortion sometimes. This only started after I started playing the game, and I've tried shutting down all other programs but it persists until reboot. I think FTL is doing something to some of our soundcards!
I have an Realtek soundcard.

What OS do you use? Also Windows 7?

I had forgot that i don t have the new soundcard drivers installed.
Now its fine ! You should try that too Illuminatiprimus.

Well I checked my drivers through windows and they claim to be up to date. Might do it manually though.
