FTL E-Mail Gamebook

Hello guys!
I am currently done with my planning and happy to announce the official E-Mail sending gamebook sessions have started today! FTL has a simple, yet very powerful storyline and I would like to expand the universe with a character of your choice. You will choose your race and profession, can fight starships in space, rob your enemies as a pirate, fulfil the federation mission as a crewmember or even sabotage the rebels on a planet!
How it works:
So first you will have to send me an E-Mail telling me your race and profession. I will always send an E-Mail back as soon as possible to continue your characters story with multiple choices of course.You will have your own inventory and story line which will take place during the actual FTL-Data carrying misssion. The game will progress slowly but if you answer my E-Mail early in the day I make a response highly probable. Also with much time to continue the story, I can use as much effort and my complete writing experience to compose some good stories.
Here are your first options:
RACE
-A deceitful Slug
-A faithful Human
-An adventurous Zoltan
-A clever Engi
-A metal-consuming Lanius
-A dangerous Rockman
-A bloodthirsty Mantis
-A forgotten Crystal
PROFESSION (This part will just be ordered in major categories)
-A space traveller
-A merchant (on planet or space)
-A senator
-A spy
-Or simply a farmer boy and let's see what'll become of him

You can decide if you want to trust me with your name... you can definitely decide what your character is named.
