When I opened this file Norton 360 removed it as it's risk was very high. It was telling me that the file was infected from a virus that originated from the original download. It didn't show up on the .zip scan, only when i opened the exe. Can you explain this?

Probably false positive, nod32 not detecting anything.
But wont test as i dont use trainers.

It's not a virus. Cheat Engine packs the trainer executable, and packed executables sometimes show false positives. Also, this version is pretty old. I have a newer one around here somewhere.
