can you post what load out it starts with?
also, 5 weapons AND 5 drones is way to OP, you have to remove some of those.
the ship itself looks nice.
please post info about the crew, starting systems etc...

50 hull? that is alot..
what weapons does it start with that would need 40 missiles? unless it only had missile launchers, that's a bit overkill. Can you post a download link? I would love to test it, and the ship seems more or less complete (in terms of actual functionality).

That's about as fragile as a lead brick.
Let's recap:
5 weapon slots, 5 drone slots
L3 Engine, L2 Medbay
3 starting weapons (none of which use missiles)
Two starting augments.
xlandar's right, your "getting banged up" in CE notwithstanding, this ship is definitely overpowered right out of the gate. You may not have given it 99-damage weapons or a stupid amount of starting power, but compared to
any of the vanilla ships (even the Carnellian), this thing is a brute.
My best advice would be to go back and examine the vanilla ships carefully, then ask yourself "what are the scrap costs for these ships?" That is, if all you had was an engine, cockpit, and O2, how much scrap would you need to spend to build up to the "starting point"? Not all ships are created equal, but it's a helpful thought-exercise for keeping your ships within reasonable limits.

i just started a playthrough...
this ship is TOTALLY overpowered.
2 ions, dual laser, anti-personnel, defence 2, MISSILE (no missiles required) drone, and a boarding drone!
not to mention almost all the reactor power you will ever need.
you have to nerf EVERYTHING. i suggest removing the dual laser, change the defence 2 to a defence 1 or remove it, possibly change missile drone, and remove almost all the reactor power.
you should probably also change the number of drone and weapon slots as well.
this mod would probably work well in insane mode (i haven't tried that mod so i'm not sure).

No weapons. Just for fun, try making a cruiser with six drone slots and one weapon slot. Try to make the ion drone slow.
On a different note, from what I see that is one nice hull design. I like how you have seemed to discolor things from slug ship to an engi color pallet. How was that done?

I use photoshop to do my cloaks. The crystallize effect works well for me, but I don't have any good idea's on how to make traditional cloaks.
