CE+other mods ship images.

hey all!
i'm new into modding, and after looking through the captains edition image files, i was wondering if it's ok for me to use the images from it and other mods for my own (public) mods.
I will not be making excat replicas of ships from other mods, but i would like to use the gibs and such for my own ship creation.

From CE, he has said you can use his graphs as long as you cred him. Ask Kieve before using the Gunboat/Destroyer though.

I'm okay with the Destroyer graphic being repurposed. That one's just a splice of original FTL ships, not original work like the Obsidian or Incursor stuff.

alright, thanks! i wasn't planning on using the obsidian or Incursor anyway, only retextured/spliced vanilla ships

CE runs under a creative commons licence. You can use any of the assets I created as long as it is for non commercial projects and you make them free to use as well. The assets other people have created are not entirely under my control. I guess one could say these people agreed to this licence, when they agreed to contribute their assets. Unwritten rules would still suggest that you'd better ask them directly. There is a list with all the third party assets in the CE OP.
