I also have vague memories about discussions of this, and the short of it is, it's either possible but only if your engines are exactly where the Kestrel's are, or it's impossible. One of those two.

I like the idea of linking it to the glow images. If glow images are like "No O2" images, they will be at normal size and linked to the upper left of the room. So, if you make your engine room above (on the screen) and to the left of - or at least directly above - your engines, you MAY be able to make a glow image that is really tall and includes jets. They won't be animated, sadly, but at least you'd get a glow.

Theoretically, someone could go into executable modding, but that's difficult. I may do that at some point.

I see you're playing with TaxiService's Ol'Triggernaut. Seeing as I worked on it with him a bit, it's fairly easy to tell.

I actually kinda want that ship. The Ol' Triggernaut has a neat hull but that hull splice makes it look like it's out of the FTL lore. Would you mind asking Taxi the permission to upload your modified hull, provided both parties have no problem with it?

I would guess the issue with the cockpit is related to the glow image. It should match the room size, which in this picture is 70x70.

Error with the doors? Unless you are talking about the oxygen room having no connection to the rest of the ship, I don't know what you are talking about.

nothing I am doing is working, changing the room art, redoing the ftl file in subliminal (which shows up just fine) I'm at a lost -_-
Darkened rooms like that indicate a bad file. Since you can see the room graphic, I'm betting it has something to do with bad or missing glow images.
