You are not the only one experiencing problems with a 6xxxm video card. I don't have a solution for you now but I just wanted to let you know I'm on looking into it I'm sorry about the problem and the delay.

I have the same problem. I'm currently running a 5850.

No problems on HD5870.
Most of the people with problems seem to have either integrated intel solutions, or mobile videocards -- also laptops.
I'd bet that the lack of intel drivers causes some problems. As for the mobile cards, I don't know.

Hmm that's interesting. I'm currently using the desktop version, but I could be an exception.

Yeah, that is weird. The 5850 should easily handle this game.

ive got a HD5850 on win7x64 and no problems what so ever unless 300-400fps is low

I just posted this on another thread, sorry to duplicate.
I'm running a 6900M and the game fails to launch entirely, in fact the card crashes.

To teamkillcosby: Crashing is a very different problem to low FPS:) Try reinstalling and updating your drives, here are some links for doing that:
I'm not sure what system you're on, but here are some links to maybe help you update and reinstall your drivers:

Reinstall/update them for Windows 7:

To everyone with FPS issues & a laptop:
Does your laptop support both an integrated card and the dedicated AMD card that you can switch between? Make sure your laptop is using the correct option for FTL, or just swap whatever you're using and try the other.
