So, I've been playing this game just fine on my Surface Pro for a couple days now.
This morning I tried adjusting the size of the game screen in the settings by adjusting it to "boarders" thinking it would get closer to full screen for me without stretching it.
It told me I had to reload FTL for my change to take effect.

After restarting the game it loads to the main menu just fine... but I don't seem to be able to get beyond that.
The mouse doesn't respond, I can't navigate the menu using the keyboard or anything.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game a few times.
I've unchecked and checked the boxes about saving to the cloud and playing with the cache.

Anyone have any suggestions for how to get the game to load for me?

Try looking for a file in the FTL folder called settings.ini. You can open it with Notepad.

At the top you should see fullscreen=X. Change it manually to:
fullscreen=0 ; off (windowed)
fullscreen=1 ; on (stretch)
fullscreen=2 ; on (borders)
fullscreen=3 ; on (native)

Set whatever you used previously and save the file. The game should work normally now.
