Since the weaponart/animations seems to work fine, I tried replacing the projectile image. No good. Tried reverting it to a stock image/animation. No good. Tried setting all the weapons sounds to standard. No good.

I've tried combinations of the above. Tried changing the speed value of the projectile.

I went to bed, restarted my computer this morning, and tried the above yet again.

I'm truly beat. And it's probably an idiotic mistake that a veteran modder wouldn't make, but I can't seem to figure it out.

Huh, everything looks good to me. The only thing that bothers me is that <type> is Laser instead of LASER -- though I'm not exactly sure whether FTL is case-sensitive or not.

Edit: yup, just tested, that was it :P

Geez. I feel like a retard now. And neither SMM nor the error checker (I find it hilarious the error checker finds multiple red-faults in vanilla files! Ha!) told me I was being a retard.

As thanks for your help, I'm also granting you one NewAgeOfPower token; which is enough to buy either 2 (two) pieces of base (one frame or state 0) weapon art, or 1 (one) fully animated weapons strip, or 1 (one) piece of ship art (gibs & doodads not included) or 1 (one) full set of ship doodads.
