Game Crash

So, I've been playing FTL for a long while now. Well over 40 hours logged and it's through Steam. But suddenly, it likes to crash on my laptop (not my desktop). So, because I rely on it working on my laptop (nice distraction from the more boring days in class), I'd very much like to find a fix for this. Here's is the info from the crash log:
Version = 1.03.3
Stack Trace:
1 - 0x051d5c98 devProcessAttach
Here's what my laptop is running:
Gateway M-6878
Intel Core Duo T5750 @ 2.00GHz
3GB RAM
Vista 32-bit OS
Please help. I freakin' love this game.

That's not a particularly helpful crash log

Does it crash randomly or just in one location?
Have you tried enabling V-Sync or the Frame Limiter within the FTL options? Those can help relieve some random crashes.

Anytime I start the game with The Kestrel, the game crashes the second I click on "Play." I will see the starting game message and my ship, but then it just crashes.
However, if I start with any other ship, it lets me play for a while, then about halfway through, crashes and gives me the same error.
I've messed with the V-Sync, no change. I'll try the frame rate. *fingers crossed*
Thanks.
EDIT: Didn't fix anything.
And it seems that the ONLY ship I can play with is the stealth ship, and even then, the game will crash eventually. No telling when. It's a random deal, although the last time it crashed the absolute second I equipped a missile weapon. So yeah...I'm starting to think this one might be completely unexplainable.

WELL! It had nothing to do with the game and I say this with my apologies.
Basically, my display driver was buggered. Though it told me it was up to date and everything, I had to go in manually, uninstall it, then reinstall it and BAM! All was fine.
Sorry to trouble you, thanks for your help, and hopefully this might help others in the future.

I've had a similar problem with drivers. All reports were that it's up to date, but it wasn't. I had to manually update it
Glad your problem is fixed now.

Thanks for the update! Video drivers are like that. Running tech support for a PC game has proved that they are all buggy, lying, horrible things and video card companies as well as automatic update software companies should be ashamed.

I'd sometimes get a crash while jumping to a new sector, so I started saving my game just before I jump. My current save exhibits this behaviour, and happens every time I jump to the new sector (i.e. reloading the save and jumping again always causes a crash). My crashlog says:
Version = 1.03.3
Stack Trace:
1 - 0x7c910a1b wcsncpy
2 - 0x7c91084c wcsncpy
3 - 0x77c2c2de free
4 - 0x0062a053
5 - 0x0046f4fb
6 - 0x0047c2ef
7 - 0x005a0ef8
8 - 0x0069415b
9 - 0x004010fd
I'm running Extra Names Mod v1.1 and Twinge's Balance Mod v6.3.1, and using the save file from
http://www.ftlgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2110. I can email my continue and prof .savs, if that'll help at all.
Thanks.

@Bursk: Crashes when you jump to a new sector would be caused by invalid sector generation. The most common cause for that is modding, can you try playing without the mods and seeing if you get the same behavior?
