Hey guys!

So, I've made a mod with my friend Kroktil which is quite popular among our french community. We erased all the sounds of the games and recorded our own instead. We also made a custom title screen music. So far, people say it's great, including Ben Prunty!

It's french, so you won't understand a few things (the stupid writings we added on title screen, or the "nouveau vaisseau débloqué, gg !" with a silly voice ("new ship unlocked, gg!)). However you should still be able to enjoy most of the mod.
We don't plan to translate it, but I thought maybe you'd like to know about it.

Someone recorded a video of it, we recommend to use the mod instead, but if you can't it will give you a little overview.

INSTALLATION

This is literally the funniest mod I've ever seen on these boards.
I will likely never use it, because I think the "sound effects" would quickly lose their novelty after a few jumps, but damn if I'm not entertained all the same. That youtube link is awesome.

I honestly think this is really stupid and a waste of time, but well, i guess it is a question of taste. any possible funny sound will lose the effect in the second beacon.. xD. After that the mod is just unplayable..

I think it's absolutely brilliant. Makes me think of kids playing "space marine" in their backyard.

The novelty may wear off... but it's great that it exists. I definetly want to play this mod from time to time. The repairing sounds are freaking hillarious.

Amazing! Really Funny!
And I play 2 hours with it's just perfect. I think I won't come back to the normal sound effect.

What is cool, is that the basic sound are fine, you can hear it again and again with no pb.
And at some special moment, you have the funny sound arriving at a special event like :
- Level up.
- Unlock achivement/ship
- any special rare action.

And those one are really brillant. Make you smile, and make the long game more fun.

Try it, and you will adopte it! :p

I liked the idea, installed it, and it made me laugh...

Then i'm still playing with it and i don't know why i'll switch back to original sounds. The sounds of your crew dying and your ship being torn to pieces are so funny that it helps lessen the frustation. I LOVE it.

Sign me for 1.2 !

Extra tip: It is totally wonderful on weird music like the OST of the Utopia TV-show.
