Just tried booting up FTL from Steam(windowed) and the window pops up and almost immediately crashes, the window minimizes and disappears from the taskbar.

Hello. That's a video driver related crash. Have you updated recently? Can you shoot me an email (zasdarq@ftlgame.com) with a dxdiag dump so I can see your system specs?
