So i just started modding trying to create a new ship hoping all would go relatively well, unfortunately in the world of modding that never happens, or at least I hear. The problem I'm having may sound really stupid but I need to get the interior design pictures so that i may design my ship. I;m am using the superluminal ship editor, and I;m having trouble, any help would be nice. I just need those interior designs and other pictures like the sheild and stealth and etc. for my ship! please help, thank you for reading.

The room interiors are time consuming, but not terribly difficult to create. If you have the resource database unpacked you can find them in /img/ship/interior. I used MsPaint to draw them and something else i can't remember to add a bit of shading. The transparencies and console glows are a pain though.

The shield is trivially easy to create just make sure you make the elipse the correct size. The stealth image is also easy enough to make once you have the base image.

If it's a ship base image you want, well maybe someone has some unused ship images they'd be willing to share, but you could just use one of the stock images. I did once start a topic with ship base images in mind, but the idea never took off. You are still welcome to use anything from this thread. Some cropping will be required.

thanks man, i really needed that help, also just wondering here, has anyone made a chuck norris ship? That would be pretty hilarious.

Wouldn't the game be over immediatley? I mean, you'd win and all... but not much gameplay.

That's not bad. Now if I can make something vaguely resembling either Federation or Rebel ships using my own copy of GC2...

Edit: If you have any program capable of resizing pictures, you can take existing shield graphics and just change the scale. Works perfectly for me.

Base and cloak images are a bit trickier, and I expect to see myself making a complete overhaul of cloak graphics if I actually use the method used in the thread linked above, as well as backgrounds. Who knows, I might even take on the UI!
