Inspired by the Arwnig I & II Mods, and being a fan of the Star Fox Games, I decided to make the Great Fox, the mother ship of the Star Fox team.

Equipped with power energy weapons mounted at the front of the ship and a high impact shield, this vessel is powerful against strong enemy ships. While not overpowered, this mod is as accurate to the original as possible. The ship can be destroyed, but damage must be repaired and can come to some heavy prices, it may be powerful but not indestructible as it was destroyed in the game Star Fox Assault.

Players will find this ship fun to play with, easy to manage and new players will get a kick out of it.

It features a custom Great Fox Hull and shield.
Everything else such as the ships interior artwork are all stock.

You say the mod isn't overpowered, but I'm not sure you mean it.

Starting out with a jillion power, level four shields, max engines, four heavy laser mk 2s and a full complement of other upgrades and augments seems a bit on the OP side of things to me.

Glad you're having fun with the mod-making tools though!

Two problems:

1. When using this Mod (not sure if it's conflict with other mods or not) the actual Great Fox ship is just this huge, black square in game. When I jump from point to point, the ship briefly appears before it becomes a huge black box again.
2. Four Heavy Laser II, and can only use two of them? Come on, give us a separate OP version where we can use all four and waste enemies quickly. xD (Also switch the drone recovery arm and repair arm for weapon pre-ignitor and advanced weapon charger whatever that one is called)

Otherwise brilliant mod! Got to the Rebel Flagship and had issues taking it out...

There's different opinions on OP ships.

Personally, it's allways a good idea to leave the ship with a weakness so the player has something to do otherwise the game is a cakewalk. Some OP ships are well suited for higher difficulty mods.

Still having issues with the ingame visual of the ship. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like

That looks like a corrupt database issue.

- Uninstall FTL (keep savegame/profile)
- Delete everything left in the FTL folder (mods and other files will not be uninstalled)
- Install FTL again
- Use GMM to patch only this mod.

If the problem persists it could be a bug in this mod. XXBAPGXX, please check if your floorplan image is transparent. This error can cause the black box to appear for some users.

Just did as suggested Mantis, and it's still a black box.

Thanks for trying it out. It's probably a transparency problem then. It's a weird issue because it does not appear as a black box on all computers. It's hard to catch it.

I checked everything, on 2 different computers, im not getting any bugs, i can remake the mod, and spot anything i might miss, sorry for anyone getting errors.

Missing floor image. Just add a completely transparent image named Great Fox Final_floor.png
