I have done most things like putting it together and filling in rooms and doors and all that in superluminal and i can save it and re open it fine, but when i go to turn it into a dot .ftl it doesn't work and replace the kestrel A i was wondering if anyone here could take a look at it, fix it and tell me what i did wrong so i can avoid it in future

This is a link to the superluminal file http://www.mediafire.com/download/3uyhm ... ve_one.shp

and this is a zip folder with the basic skin, cloak and mini ship picture, just extract it to get the stuff

Instead of the .shp file, please upload the .ftl file that you are trying to load with GMM.
As a general rule of thumb, .shp files are not intended to be transferred between PCs, and even though it is possible, it's much easier to just use the .ftl file.

Edit:
Ah, yes, it is as I thought: if you open the .ftl file with a zip archiver utility, it should show you its contents. It'll show a folder named PLAYER_SHIP_HARD, and inside it the data and img folders.

This is a wrong structure for ftl file - what you should see once you open the .ftl file, are the data and img folders, not the PLAYER_SHIP_HARD folder.

Doubt if it'll be of any help, but some time ago I wrote up a short explanation of the .ftl file structure.
