Strange Fonts

I recently bought FTL on the Steam Summer Sale after wanting to play it for a while; however, after I started playing I noticed that my fonts were pretty weird and looked as thought they had shrunk down. This has caused some issues while playing. Along with this there are moments where the audio cuts out for a brief moment. Here is an image I took of the problem:

For the sound issues, would you please post the contents of
stdout.txt, it's in the FTL folder.
