Game wont open on steam with surface pro

Anyone have this issue? A window pops up for one second and closes when attempting to open it. That's all that happens.

Can you post the specs of your machine? CPU? 64-bits? RAM? Most importantly, what graphics card (or chip) do you have, and what drivers do you use? Make sure to use the latest.

Same issue on my Surface Pro using Steam. Initially the game wouldn't launch so I went out and got the latest video driver which fixed it for about a day. Now I'm back to square one, game won't launch.

I've also made sure I'm an admin (I am) and have forced the executable to run as administrator. Going to go back to tinkering. I've got other computers I can run this on, but I really want to play it on my Surface!

Update:

Re-installing the updated video driver fixed the problem... again.

New version is: 9.18.10.3165

Looking through my logs it looks like the driver updated itself and reverted back to the older version.. while I was playing the game, causing it to crash (with no saves)

Moral of the story: Updating my video driver worked, now to figure out why Windows decided to update it.
