That's what I want to know as well.Is that a problem with SMM that could be fixed with collaboration or is it also not possible via non SMM methods and a limitation of FTL itself?
@topic,
Thanks for all your hard work, I really enjoy this mod and can't imagine playing FTL without it. I surely cannot demand anything nor even request, since I'm a non-contributing lurker on these forums, but I still have to ask: Could a future version include a more varied soundtrack? The default one is annoying after a while.
Something is this style:

would be great. Maybe I can help finding something under CC-license?

There is a optional new soundtrack on the first page

-Is it possible to add another augmentation slot?
-If it's possible are you planning on doing it?
-If it's possible and you're not planning on doing it, could you show me how please?
My reasoning for a 4th augmentation slot is this:
You have your ship identifying augment. (ex: rock plating, slug gel)
You also have one combat augment.
And then you have a "free" slot to put anything cool you find.
But what if you want to transport some goods you find? Do you replace your cool adv. FTL navigation you picked up, or do you leave the goods behind?
What if you want to use an onboard science station? Where do you put that cargo you recieve? You'd have to replace your combat augment for it.

Flypaste, your second and third questions are pointless, as the answer to the first is (unfortunately) a 'No'.

That is why there was an "if".

This one is for the new systems.hexagon wrote:There is a optional new soundtrack on the first page
I have another question. I just met our loved giant spiders again: http://ftl.wikia.com/wiki/Giant_Alien_Spiders
and my crew member was gone though I had a clone bay installed? Is this supposed to happen? In the vanilla-game my crew member was simply cloned afterwards.

Why is choosing the next sector to jump to locked? Whenever I try to get closer to the Fed Base to progress difficulty, I press Next Sector and it jumps without getting to choose.

I am also having the problem of not being able to chose my next sector when I want to continue on.
Something else entirely, I've been playing infinite space for quite a while now, and I'm noticing that when I continue flying, I leave the themed sectors.
For example if I jump to a Nebula sector and I keep flying freely, I go back into contested deep space.

The Next Sector button is what brings you closer to the Federation base and progresses you through the difficulty. You are doing it right. And yes, it has to be done this way to work.

You can only continue indefinitely in Contested Deep Space. That is how it works and there is no way around it.

That is indeed one of the famous Default Placeholder Riggers. Where you playing Infinite?
Jasina wrote:It is said that CE is designed to play on normal, but is it safe ( I mean Technical Issues of course) to play on hard?
Yeah go for it, technically there should be nothing wrong. You'll earn yourself an imaginary achievement if you make it through. Not even tried it myself yet. But please bear in mind that the mod was not designed for that difficultly, although I'd assume it is doable.

If you know music that is not pulled from another game, fits the style of FTL and is free to use then let me know it. I might not yet have exhausted the available web resources, but it was not that easy to find even the tracks for the new sectors. So this is not a high priority. You can also just play your desired music with another media player by the way. For some months I listened to the Endless Space OST when playing FTL...katz wrote:hexagon wrote:I have another question. CE does not touch that outcomes, so I don't really know what is wrong there. Might be related to you SMM cache, but it's strange that everything else works...
