Boarding Mission Event Idea

I just thought of a mod that adds a new type of events: a strictly boarding mission. The enemy you fight against wouldn't be a ship, but rather some sort of space station, and it's your mission to take out its crew before they take you out. You would have your weapons/drones/vindicator beam disabled, because you're trying to avoid destroying the station altogether.

Since it's not a space-faring ship, it would lack Helm, Engine, Weapons, or Shields. (Is it even possible to exclude the Helm from the ship's design?) Rather, it has an assortment of crew and humanoid drones you must deal with. They could also Teleport onto your ship to stop you in your tracks.

Thinking more into it now though, I can foresee certain problems. First, you can obviously only do this mission if you have a Teleporter. And ideally, I would like to be able to use only my humanoid drones and ion weaponry in this mission, but there probably isn't a way to disable weapons and drones individually.

So what do you guys think of this? Is there anything similar already something similar? Is there some way of making this work?

You would need to a) create a new enemy for it - including all the graphics, blueprints etc, and b) write a new event which will summon that enemy and have different rewards conditional to killing the crew or the station.

I'm kind of working on something that involves fighting stations, although not strictly as boarding fights. The stations will be a kind of new enemy type with different strengths and weaknesses and will be spawned by a set of compleatly new events.
