[MOD] Increased Difficulty

Working on a new mod which increases the base game difficulty. It's actually almost done, I just need people to play test it first. I wanted to make a mod that would put OP/god ships to the test. It would be impossible to play vanilla ships with this mod because you would probably get blown away in your first encounter.

+10 hp to all ships
All ships have at least level two shields
All ships have max reactor power
All ship systems leveled up to maximum
All ships have max drone/weapon slots
All ships have maximum number of crew
You will encounter bomber/assault class vessels early in the game
New cruiser class enemies including my Tsunami Class Battlecruiser
Harder boss (increased hp and buffed weapons.)

I'm not saying I don't think the game is a bit too easy for a veteran. I beat the boss about 80-90% of my play-throughs. But the idea of taking one of the base ships through a first sector full of ships that you describe seems more like suicide than a challenge.

EDIT: Oh I may have misread. You're saying ALL ships, including yours. That seems more intriguing but if anything I have it easier when my ship's powerful, up against more powerful ships. Most of my losses are in the first 3 sectors.

However, I'm down to playtest :)

Good idea, though I agree with Horseman -- tone it down a bit so that base ships can handle it, and it can become a really great mod for those seeking some additional challenge, other than new player ships.

Actually it will be so hard that it will be impossible to play with vanilla ships. I'm not going to increase the power of the player ships. However, I might take karto's advice and make another version that's toned down a bit so you can use vanilla player ships...
