Ummm, excuse me FTL...I started over...

I'm hesitant to put this in the "Glitch" section before putting it up for discussion first.
Anyone else notice that the first fight after a restart seems ridiculously hard, like it forgot to reset to "little pew-pew enemies" and kept the "Sector 4 grade" ones?
Cruising along today, get wiped out. I restart and sector #1, jump #1, fight #1 is packing twin heavy lasers, a beam drone and Zoltan shields. Volley the first goes into my weapons bay, fires break out and that's it. I survive with one crewman, 2 missiles and 4 hull left. JUMP...ONE.
"We commend these brave souls who undertake this perilous journey to the other side of the universe, and may the spirits of- OH GOD!!! *BZRAAAAAP!!!* OH JESUS! *ZWASH ZWASH ZWASH!* LORD NO! *FZZZZZZT!* *KABOOM!*"
"Okay, plan B. Someone warm up the Osprey. And get a mop."
For the record, I'm not one of the "its too hard" crew. I love that FTL is random and Roguelike and it'll kick your butt over and over. Its fun that way. I'm just curious whether or not this happens to other people and might actually BE a glitch in the "reset enemy generation" routines or if I should just name ALL my ships "Challenger II".
