When Jake arrived back on the station, he lazily ordered Sarah to take command with repairs. He was going to go lie down. He couldn't shake the feeling that those... demons... had stolen something from him. That a part of him was floating among the debris at the previous beacon.

Before he left, Jake noticed a new situation unfolding. He told Sarah not to get involved, just maintain a steady distance and focus on internal affairs. The Scarab and Pelican could handle this.

Sarah carried out her duties, pulling the ship away and ordering the crew to begin repairs. She watched closely for any signs of serious trouble, but mostly worked on "internal affairs."

Jake collapsed onto his bed, and the lights shut off. The only light in the room was cast from a control panel on the wall, predominately a blueish glow. As soon as the lights cut out, Jake saw a shadow - a silhouette in the bluish light. It was a humanoid figure, standing perfectly still in the middle of the room.

"Who's there?" Jake asked from his position on the bed.

The shadow did not reply.

"Computer! Lights on!"

The overhead lights turned back on, and there was nothing there. When Jake calmed down enough to turn off the lights once again, nothing was to be found.

"Everything's fine over here" Eden said to Bren "Nothing we can't patch up"
She looked towards Lux and asked "So Luxanna, did you find anything on that ship?"
Lux sighed and shook her head "Just ghosts."
"Such a shame. I guess we're nowhere closer to understanding that singularity device... still though... ghosts."
"Trapped by their own weapon... maybe they still are despite blowing them up" Lux continued "I don't think we're supposed to know about this weapon... no one is"
"They said the same thing about nuclear weapons... but here we are" Eden commented.

So what's at the next beacons?

"Wait Ghosts are real?!" Bren and Gorlag cried out

"Well yes, Spirits after death will always persist" Ruwen said

"Umm...thats not what we believe...umm Eden should we tell people this, this might screw with some religion you humans seem to argue about" he said looking over the map

"Well we are still a while away from the beacon out of here...but the next area is giving a distress signal, might be a rebel in trouble or something" he said

"Should we go help him?" Gorlag asked

Bren sighed a bit, "One hand if it was a rebel in trouble, we could try and show them not all aliens are bad, on the other...we'd be saving a rebel" he said

"I'll let all of you decide where to go, we do have other paths, including through a nebula, but I ain't going through that" he said, "Not while my hull is a bit damaged"

"Let's head to the distress," Jake said. "I'm so sick of nebulas,"

They jumped, and upon completion they were suprised to find a rockman transport, its distress call looping.

Upon detection, it hailed them. "We were attacked by some kind of monster! They... ate... our engines! Do you have any scrap you could spare? We'll make it worth your while."

"My name is Captain Jake Collins, Commander of the United Rogue Union," Jake said, accepting the transmission.

"Ha! A mere child? Commander? Ridiculous! Let me speak to your Captain, son."

"I am the Captain. Speak to me or speak to no one."

"Seriously, kid..."

Jake began to cut the transmission.

"Wait! Wait! Okay! Anyways, we need some scrap, we will compensate you nicely..."

"What kind of compensation?"

"Well you see, lad, this is a Pleasure Cruiser. Designed to pleasure you. In any means you desire. Have a drink at the bar! Play some games! Relax! We even have a swimming pool! Or meet one of our fine, fine ladies. Everything's on the house if you give us a mere 30 scrap for our engine."

"What is a Pleasure Cruiser doing in Abandoned 01?"

"We see Abandoned 01 as a great market. Plenty of surly officers such as yourself roam this sector, with no time for fun and games! While we may encounter very few people, the people we do encounter always seem to need a little down time."

Jake felt extremely compelled to accept this offer. Extremely. "Would your services be for the crew of all 3 ships?"

"Affirmative! Just 30 scrap for the lot of ya!"

Jake couldn't explain it. He was overwhelmed with a desire to say "yes" to this offer. He just had to. He needed to!

Eden chuckled at the situation the Rock ship was in. "Well, I say we give them a helping hand" she commented "Pleasure Cruises, especially non-Federation ones are the backbone of the galaxy... and I could use a good dip in a pool."
Lux smiled "I suppose I could try my hand at poker... Kyrie did joke about how my "Poker Face" has improved in the last few weeks."

The two grabbed their weapons and holstered them before setting out to the ship. "Federation cruise ships wouldn't allow their guests to be armed so the people feel safe. Most of these outlaw ships tend to let guests carry weapons for the same reason" Eden explained, slowly dragging herself along to the shuttle.
"Shouldn't you leave your prisoners behind?" Lux asked her.
"They're safer in here than locked up on the ship. They said everything's on the house if we give them the repairs so it's not like I have to pay for extras..." Eden laughed "I might even come back with volunteers."

Plot twist! It's a trafficking ring and it's up to Team Girl Power to save the day while the men are wondering about those weird statues they were given and why all the ladies are laughing and/or giving special attention to them.
Yeah probably not.

Bren looked at Gorlag and his face gave a blush, and he called out to the ship, "ummyou wouldn't happen to have any um...Zoltan women?" he asked

Gorlag could easily tell he was a virgin, and looking for love...he didn't even need to read his mind for that one

Ruwen chuckled, "Guess you are at your time to find a mate" he said

"GUYS!?!?!" he cried out, still on mic

Plot twist! It's a trafficking ring and it's up to Team Girl Power to save the day while the men are wondering about those weird statues they were given and why all the ladies are laughing and/or giving special attention to them.

Kyrie awoke as they jumped. She had never been able to sleep through the slight jolt the ship made whenever it was jumping. As she groggily heaved herself up out of the corner, she overheard the conversation between Jake and the pleasure cruise captain. “I agree with Eden. Besides, we get to go on there for free. And I’d like to see Lux try to beat me at poker, too. It’s more than the face, Lux,” she said jokingly.
