"I got this in the bag," Targon smirked as he fired a last cluster of metal at the enemy ship, "Rest in pieces, rebel meatsacks." The Flak bits collided with the ship, warping it into a large fireball. The job was done. "Nice driving, Tabitha. I got clear shots every firing round."

"I wouldn't say it was the best driving out there. In order to get those firing solutions, we had to take some hits" Tabitha said "We need more power and capacity in the thrusters. Then I can get cooking a lot more than just meals."
She brought the ship towards the wreckage in order to begin the salvage operations "Hey if you find anything useful like non-replicator food or a proper coffee machine, can you do me a favour and bring it onboard?" she requested to the crew going out to grab materials.
She wondered if the Rebels onboard that ship appreciated fine dining or at least knew what the most important system to have installed on a ship was.

Probably, we've got a full crew here.

The ship's warning lights came on as the rebel ship fired. Kr ran toward his post and heard the ship be hit by a laser blast just inside door control. He lisened for fire but heard it only faintly. The comm chat was filled with chaotic voices giving directions. Kr ignored them and focused on repairs. "If only we had an engi here" he thought. Just as he finished, the doors opened in the room next door to put out the fires. The battle was over quickly after that, and Kr heard Tabitha's request for decent food. "There's probably nothing more than we have. The rebels aren't going to be focused on food at this point." he said into the headset.

Yes! DIe however you would like, but be aware we can't manage anything too complicated.

We could. We are in need of an engi, and i have no reason to obey the laws of the game! We can have all the crew we desire.

"Okay. Firirng solutons can come after we get the sheilds to level 2. This war-torn galaxy is full of powerful ships, and we need to get past them. Now then, get the sheilds upgraded twice. Don't worry about the reactor, i can handle that."
Quintet shuffled some power around, thinking about what to do next. The crew were in turmoil over the lack of a forseeable captain, and if it continued, it would lead to chaos and get Quintet's chances destroyes along with this ship.
"I need to get this toy of a ship full of fools to the right place if i want to do this. I need to assign a captain, but how?" Quintet thought. The crew wouldn't accept him being captain, so one of them need to think they're captain so that this can continue.
"Oh. Oh, that might work. Now i'm curious. This.. yes. This will be fun."
Quintet turned on the communications and brodcasted a message for the entire crew to hear.
"Look. I don't understand what makes this so difficult. I'm captain, and as much as you dislike it, it's going to stay that way until I either get you to where you need to be ot make you dissapear. Got it? Good. Now get back to work, we're going to need some more scrap if we want to get the weapons we need to continue and upgrade our engines."

Tabitha remained at the helm, preparing the systems for the next jump to the next beacon while salvage operations were going on.
She then heard the AI over the comms explain about how it was the Captain. "You should have said that in the first place, Captain. For a moment I thought this vessel had no leadership" she said.
