So....what is you best guess as to when this mod comes out? I'm hyped up right now, but if its like 2 months, I'd be pumped-down.

I suggest you add new augmentations... I love those things.
Here's some ideas (Note these augmentations will be sold in stores and not to start with ships)
Repair on-the-go: Repairs hull breaches at 50% repair time.
Ion Negativity 2: Negates ion damage 40% of the time.
Weapon De-Ignighter: When you hit a enemy ship's weapon system, their weapons de-charge by 20% of respective weapons recharge time.
Free-BB: Gain a weapon that takes no energy, and does 3 ion and 2 hull damage (Recharge time=25 sec) (Auto-equip when attached to ship).
Zoltan shields .4: Like Zoltan Shields, but has 3 shields instead of 5.

Question: If we're a part of the federation, why are you planning on making the final boss a federation cruiser of some type? Wouldn't you pick like a rock, mantis, or slug cruiser? Or is that something that'll be answered in the story?
Are you still planning on making other ships to replace the Kestral, Torus, and Adjudicator and their type B variants? As for enemies, are we looking at mostly Slug, Rock, and Mantis ships? Are you reworking their layouts and weapons too, not for us to play as, but for us to play against? If so, I've got some ideas on the weapons and ship setups for those vessels.
I really like your design philosophy and think it sticks closely to the way the factions work. I even think your means of naming these ships clever. Advocate--> Defender--> Adjudicator/ Weyl--> Shilling --> Noether? Clever. You seem to pick up and create a naming scheme for ships so they match closely with their cruiser variants. It's that attention to detail I like. As for the pirate thing, it's a pity it got too complex. But life comes first right. I wish you the best of luck. Let me know if you need someone to "break your mod" for you.

I like this. I was thinking of a prequel where you pilot the reble ships escaping from the federation untill you uncover the flagship and use that as a weapon to conquer the federation. Start of with the smallest of reble/federation ships and work your way to the flagship where you destroy the federation.
Interceptor
Scout
Fighter
Bomber
Rigger
Light Cruiser
Assault
Cruiser
Carrier (something that carries 2 AI auto assault ships to scout or delay federation fleet.)

Could you please maybe add more Federation ships? Like a Early Federation Cruiser (nerfed version of the Federation Cruiser) with a sprite that makes it look more basic.
Or a ship I always wish there was a mod for, a Federation Destroyer (one of the larger ships you see in the starting screen and areas under seig by the Rebels).
That would be epic.
