"Not at all. I met this Engi named Turzil who could compose poetry, write a novel and paint a picture while holding a political debate and still have processing power left over to run military simulations. Someday he's probably going to become a General with all that going for him..." Trenchcoat explained.
"So you're an Engi?" Lux asked.
"Not at all" Trenchcoat replied "Now, yer buyin' or sellin'?"

Eden Cortez headed back to the Pelican, a lot lighter. Several drones followed behind her wheeling pallets of what appeared to radioactive waste in sealed containers rated to withstand high-speed asteroid impacts.
"Fleet, be advised that I will be transporting dangerous chemical waste in my cargo holds" she explained "So if you kids see any heavily-sealed containers, don't go opening them."
If they know anything about waste transport, the containers are typically tougher than the ship they're carried on. Could probably drop a Hermes on it and only scratch them, she thought to herself, amused

But if they're so tough, why aren't ship hulls made out of them?
Because it's too heavy and expensive to use on Cruisers?
Also, now you know where those Acid Clouds in CE come from.

"It wouldn't be good for discretion if I told you where my stuff comes from" Trenchcoat said "Stuff falls off starships all the time, ships being towed lose connection and FTL drives malfunction and end up drifting where anyone can find it."
His hologram turned more red "Accidents happen and if I were you, I'd not question too deeply as to how those accidents came about..."

His hologram brightened up and became more blue "This fine lady has everything I need to travel the stars and trade my wares. The Scarab is just too small for my needs."

"I don't know. Maybe they think they can recreate it in a working form? Anyhow, let's get started," Kyrie said, tying her hair back and rolling up her sleeves. (Insert montage of Sarah and Kyrie gathering parts, hammering, pouring molten metal etc. with eye of the tiger playing in the background.)

Kyrie wiped her greasy hands on the federation jumpsuit and let out a sign of satisfaction, stepping back to observe their creation. "Well, it looks like a melted black hole gun. Let's hope it convinces Trenchcoat."

"Don't blame you for not wanting to cheat on that fine lady" he said, "I can respect a man who likes a good ship" he said, "Sorry for asking a lot of questions, just trying to make conversation...so, why the Nebula, hiding from Federation or Rebels?" he asked, "Or maybe some pissed off Pirate like the legendary Tusco or that one mantis who gets mad when you mispronounce his name Kazaasomething" he asked chuckling as the repair drone worked to weld the crystal burst onto the ship, the other drone body wirled to life and went over to help.

At the mention of Tusco, he added "Tusco was indeed a legend across the stars. It is said his treasure is still out there. Not even his sons Hector or Francis know where it is."
A bounty board appeared projected next to Bren "Speaking of his sons, the bounty for Hector's missing son Tuco is still open. Francis is also offering a reward for the wreckage of his father's ship. I think the Rebels have it locked away somewhere as a warning about piracy or to keep the location of the treasure away from others."

I'm guessing Bren will find a nice hat made of stiff dough, find a busty navigator and see how many swords Ruwen can wield at once while Gorlack cooks the meals and fights only using his eyestalks?

Jake put the payment in the aft airlock, opening the doors welcomingly. He made sure of securing the interior doors, however.

Soon, Kyrie was ready with the "weapon." She placed it next to a stack of scrap. A holographic man appeared.

This hologram was not at all similar to Sarah. Sarah glowed with a smooth, warm light that emitted some slight heat. Very warm in an almost angelic manner. Her holographic figure also had color, unlike this hologram which was blue. The hologram flickered slightly and emitted no heat. Unlike Sarah, he had no solid form. Jake could see little horizontal lines running through him - the sign of a bad resolution.

"Hello sir, I am Fleet Commander Jake Collins. Here is the agreed upon payment." Jake said. He couldn't stop his legs from quivering at the OBVIOUSLY fake Black Hole weapon. It was unmistakable for a fraud.

Amazingly, the hologram passed over it with no more than a slight grunt of interest.

"So..." Jake stammered, barely able to get the words out. "Is that all?"
