It allows me (and others) to add new content to the server because the launcher guarantees that everybody has the same data. Without that, there might be bugs like invisible ships or even crashes (kcd.Spaktor says that it should not crash but I did not test it).

There should be no invisible ships - if you don't have the propper image you will see a default image.
or even crashes (kcd.Spaktor says that it should not crash but I did not test it).

Will everyone lose all their stuff if you add a ship to the server?
@jrb0001 If not can you add the resized version of the BLACK_BEAR ship to the new server?

No, the universe should survive a server restart.
Please pack everything (images, ship layouts, modules, ships, etc.) into a single .zip file and send me a mail / pm or post a link to it in this thread. That way, I can be sure that I add exactly what you want.

Please note that I can not test anything until friday.

I got layouts for the 3 bear ships me and hakk made, The layout are bad but they got the right amount of rooms for their class and if anyone want they can make better layouts.

Update is done.

@kcd.Spektor: There were error messages while shutting down the server:
[Server] Ship some_uuid_blablabla data found, but can not delete it!
[Server] Ship some_uuid_bliblablup no data found, unable to delete!
What do they mean?

This means that server was unable to clean up some dead ship data, from the DataBase folder.
Possibly that the folder was not accesibble at the time.

And actually, come to think of it, I think there was a bug in the clean up algorithm, that I fixed for the 0.4 version.
In any case it's nothing critical.
