Grrr. With the lower ammo my Rock A almost ran out of missiles in the middle of sector 2 - had to run from a couple fights. Also didn't have many empty beacons before then. Survived and found some laser weapons, so I wasn't quite as reliant on missiles & bombs as the previous game.
I was about to go to sector 7, a Federation Zone, when I got a MS Visual C++ Runtime Error, and FTL crashed. Maybe it was the dirty rebs still on board my ship when I jumped. /shakesfistatbloodymindednessoftheuniverse
I'm Still not completely happy with the missile production capacity. I'm currently playing a run where I never droped below 30 missiles, but I'm using a Scythe Beam on the side... Maybe the Manufacturer will produce 6-9 Missiles for 15 scrap in the end. Maybe the price gets a little increase as well...

Vanilla enemies are almost completely unchanged in CE. Deal with it.
since its not possible to search for the word "unlock" is it possible to unluck the Snail and the Crystal ships on Captains edition? And how are the Sectores for this are named?
Those two are left but the game got a bit borring so i want to try out the captains edition

there are some save game editors and programs and stuff that I completely lost and can't find (I just woke up) so the next thing I came to is you could try this instead http://www.ftlgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2110
Well okay then... the snail only happens in the slug home worlds. (easier on vanilla game due to what ship you need to attack to get it, suggested you should have a snail person on your crew for the blue option, remember accept every surrender, you have no idea what is a normal surrender and the quest surrender xD)
for the Crystal... you can find the stasis pod in Engi (from what I know, most common), zoltan, civilian, and pirate (the other 2 are less common), after getting the damage stasis pod you need to go to engi, zoltan, or civilian (last one rarely) for the Zoltan research facility.
If you even get to that part, you will then go to the rock homeworlds and find a random beacon that has the special event to go to the secret / crystal sector...
I figure that you will literally need to go in half the sectors in captains edition more or less xD.
I can tell you that "110100100101101" or what ever, you get the idea, is engi.
Just a tip, download the mod that makes the crystal quest easier (easier to find the stasis pod (best you should be in a rock cruiser)) (and also for the rock homeworlds you can find the beacon easierly because it has the marker up)
For the Slug quest, accept a surrender of a slug ship, he offers prototype weapon (Anti Bio beam), another option says you want information not weapon, the slug will give you a quest beacon where the slug cruiser and escorts lie, you use your slug crew (or (can't tell which, maybe both) long range scanners/ high level scanners to keep track of there movement, then the escorts FTL away besides the (very easy to kill) slug interceptor.
you have to kill it before it FTL's or you get no ship, the slug interceptor has no doors to it's oxygen and engines room, take out the engines so it can't run away.
That is harder on Captains Edition because you may get a slug gas miner which has I think more rooms and all connected by doors.
