Tabitha shrugged and head for the pilot seat and waited on standby for everyone to return. Not like she had anything to do in the stores; a quick check of the catalogues indicated that it didn't sell any exotic ingredients; just standard shipboard stuff (water, oxygen, colonial ration bars) that didn't require much in the way of negotiations or bribery.
This isn't a black market after all. I just hope Quintet doesn't blow up this store this time if Targon or Arkangel gets into trouble.

Targon was leaving and had just said goodbye when Kr came back to find one of the parts. Kr ran after him and saw him leaving a parts id place. He caught up to Targon and asked: "Is there a head in that pile? And was that a purple mantis?"

"Yes, that was a purple Mantis, and- hey, where'd the head go?" Targon turned back at the two Mantis only to see that they had mysteriously vanished, along with his robotic head.
"Curse them," he snarled, "they tricked me. Help me get the head back?" Targon was already walking over to the booth, his metal arm split in two threateningly.

I'm cool with crystal stuff in the RP.

((A railgun, a hacking drone and a wrench all for 2 Scrap? Wow, the economy really went downhill didn't it?))

"Wait, is that..." Tabitha started, seeing the crystal pod on the drone cameras.
"Looks like a stasis or isolation pod. We really should look into buying that" she remarked "Put it in the medbay, empty out the contents and use it for our own."
Because the medbay needs a bit of an upgrade, she thought to herself. She then thought about getting Derk to ask for the price on the pod when she had a better idea.

She got off her seat and headed onto the station. There was a sharp pain in her head as she disconnected from the neural network of the ship upon exiting the airlock. She found the store which was selling the stasis pod. "Nice isolation pod you have there... looks rather exotic don't you think?" she asked.
"150 Scrap. It's not just any isolation pod, it's an ancient artefact from..."
"25 Scrap. That's how much you'd get for a Shield Charge Booster and this thing is overpriced already" Tabitha replied.
"100 Scrap! This was found in an asteroid field, surrounded by..."
"25 Scrap! I don't need to know the life story of all the components or whether or not the cattle is grain-fed off replicated grain or hand-grown grain using ancient seeds from 200 years ago..." Tabitha interrupted, I'm not THAT pretentious.
"75 Scrap! You don't seem to understand that..."
"Listen buddy, if I took a look at that thing, I'm not going to see it as an ancient artefact from a Rock sector. I see it as a fancy isolation pod that probably has been marked up way too much for a profit. Now if you were to take this to Vrachos or Numa, they might give you all their money for that trinket..." Tabitha explained "But you decided to sell it here, so how about 25 Scrap and only because I'm generous."

Tabitha found herself hiring a lifter frame as she brought the pod back to the ship...

4 scrap actually plus about an hour of haggling

((Considering how a good ship-mounted weapon can cost you 65 Scrap, you're not going to get it and several other items for 4 Scrap no matter how much you haggle. You could probably buy the wrench for that much. Tabitha was pushing herself over budget already with 25 Scrap for the stasis pod, considering how the Captain no doubt has control over how much money we've got and I'm only assuming we've got like 150 Scrap or something for the whole ship.))

"Sure, I kinda need that head anyway." Kr followed Targon over to the empty stand. They went in and looked around. Spare parts and other pieces were covering shelves and the floor. They came to a door in the back that was standing wide open. Kr looked out and found it led into an alleyway.

Targon saw two bright shells vanish into a small building, and the door slammed shut. "Oh no, you don't! Let's murder them!" He shrieked, and with that Targon ran over and chopped the door into shards, revealing the inside of a bustling bar. Everyone inside, half of them drunk, gaped and stared at the two Mantis in the doorway. Targon blinked, then quickly changed tactics.
"Erm, guess we gotta blend in, mate." He whispered to Kr in a unidentified accent. "Ask aroun' abou' two Mantis engineers. Yew know wha'ta do."
Targon strolled in, saw down next to a snoring Rockman and smacked the table bar with one of his metal arms, making the Rock yell and sneeze a mouthful of alcohol.
"Diesel fuel, make 'er blazin'!" He shrieked at the Human bartender, who was a tall, muscular man with a beard.
"And for your friend?" The Human asked, a little ticked. Targon stood up, two of his four legs on the table.
"D'yew think," He bellowed, throwing spittle onto the bartender's face, "tha' I give a friggin' CRAP to what 'e wants?! Ask 'im!!" He was quite the spectacle to the drunken crowd, who were chortling stupid-sounding noises at his pluck. He quickly scanned the area but didn't see the two Mantis engineers.
I hope Kr knows how to blend in, Targon thought. He should be able to because he's a mercenary. Guess I'll find out.

Tabitha moved the pod into the medbay and requested to Quintet that it get hooked up to the system. She could see a layer of crystal coating inside the device and remarked "That crap needs to be cleaned out."
While the system dealt with everything happening, she headed back to the pilot seat to await further orders in case Targon and Kr needed a quick getaway from the station.

((i'm assuming that the pod doesn't contain a full Crystal, but more like pieces of one. That's why the Zoltan Research Facility is needed))
