1.02.4 is the new beta branch. It was just a quick patch for some people with computers far below system reqs to be able to run the game again... apparently some of the additions caused unexpected problems. You're welcome to switch back to the normal, non-beta. 1.02.4 will likely go live in about 10 hours along with any other fixes for minor problems introduced by the patch.

I have a game in sector 7 but with the permanently powered defense drone bug.
Thanks
I think that happened to me between stages 2 and 3 of the boss fight with both of my defense drones at the same time... only they were also invisible. I fixed it by moving them to storage and then reinstalling them.
Unsure if its been asked already or not (the search here is grumpy).
What FPS does the Framerate limit option actually limit it to?
Reason I'm asking is I have a 120hz monitor, so my FPS can go up to 120 with Vsynch / Framerate limit on in some games, but in other games they're hard coded to limit it to 60 ish.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the info!

You could try running the game with Fraps, to determine what your FPS gets limited to with v-sync or framerate limit enabled.
I wanted to know if there were any plans for cloud syncing within Steam. It would be great if my progress and unlocks were automatically synchronized between my desktop and my laptop.

If you bought it directly from this site, then you should have been provided with a key to unlock the game on Steam as well. Using Steam you will always get first access to new patches as well as any optional beta patches. If you're not keen on using Steam, then you'll have to wait some extra time until the patch is made available from other providers.
