You are doing something wrong since it works okay for me. Right click the trainer and run as admin, then starts Steam/FTL.

YAY!!! Thank you for updating the trainer! I tried to do it myself but I suck at such things..

I think that the Jump Anywhere hack is causing the game to freeze when you jump to certain star systems. Its happened to me twice in a row this morning after I activated the hack. Its not a vital hack to me so its no big deal, but just so everyone else knows.

Scratch that, it just randomly freezes up with or without the Jump Anywhere hack on.. not sure which (if any) of the hacks are causing it to happen. Its never happened to me before with or without any of the previous trainer versions. Sad pandas.

Can't find any problems myself. When testing, I enable all the options before I click the New Game button.
I just got a victory on normal with the Mantis B and all options enabled. Any hints on when it crashes?
Maybe try enabling the options you want before clicking New Game?
There is a known problem with infinite power and continuing a saved game.
You might want to disable infinite power and depower most systems before saving a game.

At the main menu screen, double-check the version number. For me, it appears under where the Steam Community announcement pops up.

Make sure you find the trainer version that matches that.

After the update the trainer has stopped working

I think what caused it to crash was that Half Rebel Fleet was on before the warning zone appeared on the map, so on the turn that it would normally appear the game crashed. At least, thats what seemed to be the issue from my experience. If I let the warning front appear on the map first then enable that hack it was fine.

So.. why is this game updating very couple of days? Now the trainer wont work lol Is there a way I can figure out how to update the trainer myself using cheat engine? Or is it not as simple as I think? Thanks

Like I said, I don't get crashes if I enable the options I want before clicking New Game. I can provide the CE Auto Assemble scripts if you like.

I'll update it again soon.

Also, you can disable automatic updates for FTL in steam. Just right click FTL, goto properies, then to the updates tab. Then turn off automatic updates.

I have mine set this way, so that it says "Content for this game will not be automatically acquired." but it just updated me to 1.02.6 anyway.

Maybe keep Steam in offline mode?

Using Durandall's trainer, Whenever I launch a new game FTL immediately crashes. I can navigate the menus beforehand fine and even pick a ship / customize my crew but the second I hit 'start' it crashes.

I've tried it without the trainer and it runs fine. I've tried to turn the trainer on after pressing start and it crashes after it loads. I've tried turning on the options I want before starting and get the same effect.


Don't really know how helpful all that is but at least it's something.
If anyone else has this issue and has figured a way around it any help would be greatly appreciated.
