I meant to get the shadows done today, but I've been swamped with actual work so all I had time for was the shading.



I'll try to get it done tomorrow, after that it'll just be a matter of integrating it with the Kodiak.

I wish you the best of luck, brotha!! I mean, not that you'll need it. Making ships is a pretty straightforward process thanks to Superluminal and this community, but still! : P My advice is: when stuck, look at how other people managed to overcome problems. Take your time to do what you want and you'll eventually make it!

I know there's some good advice on this thread on ship-making from when I was making the Kodiak... I think it's around pages 24 and 25, you may want to have a look.

I know that ship is from Ring Runner, but it looks based on the Swordfish II from cowboy bebop. Is that so? Your design looks awesome though, I was always a fan of the Swordfish II.

If I can give some advice or warning rather from what I learned/am learning while making ships. Be careful making ships with large wings unless you're prepared to make a custom shield that is fairly large (that is of course if you want the shield to cover everything). Most of the shields in game aren't too friendly with large side wings.
