I can't believe no one has mentioned any of Amanita Design's games yet! You're lucky I'm here to correct this omission >_<

If you've ever liked point and click adventure games, or love to solve puzzles, you have to try these out.

Most of them are playable in the browser (if you have Flash) and some like Samorost and Questionaut are completely free. They all have extremely beautiful art and surreal environments, and some amazing music in Machinarium and Botanical.

Now for me to go check all the games mentioned in this thread while you guys check these out

If any of you are interested in tower defense games, you can play most of Kingdom Rush (the same one that's on Steam now) in the version that has been available for free for years. Here is the link: http://armorgames.com/play/12141/kingdom-rush. The whole primary campaign is there; there are just bonus heroes and missions that are exclusive to paying customers.

Also, I can vouch for both Spelunky Classic and Super Crate Box. Both are excellent games (as are the games that Derek Yu and Vlambeer went on to make after them).

The story : You are a Space X Hunter: You fight a horde of enemies whose purpose is to absorb the energy of the solar systems.
A unique name will be assigned to the first launch of the game, allowing you to identify yourself with the other Space X Hunter.
You must complete a series of missions, the current set includes 6 missions, and new missions will be added very soon.
You can also focus on attacking enemy ships, protection of the solar system planets and try to access one of the six best scores of Space X Hunter, but be careful: when all the planets of the system will gone, it will be the end of the game for you.

I surely recommend to anyone, not much ads, good gameplay and nice boss fight for me.

Also anyone tried Galaxy Commander Defense??

Something for FTL lovers on the horizon.
Reaaaallly cool atmosphere, gameplay is almost there aswell. Very much worth a look.
