Maybe it boosts your power for limited time? Maybe it adds more power when your in a nebula ion storm?
Maybe it helps put power into ioned systems. maybe does all of those above things? or maybe it's a physical form of your power that can damage how many power bars you got if it's damaged. who knows.

Also I think Crystal are the only race who are not that worried about the new race... Engi... being made of metals... I can feel Engi will suffer...

A new reddit post pointed out that one of the short frames in the end of the trailer actually also shows a new hazard.

So stoked for this update. I'd love to be part of the beta testing (I assume there will be some.) Hope they release it. 'cause I did already set the beta update things up. It looks absolutely amazing. Thank you so much devs for all your hard work. I appreciate it. And just asking~is there a thread for idea submissions that actually get looked at? I'm pretty new to the forums, I apologize if that was a stupid question. I have some writing ideas.

Then you're in luck; modding only takes a few minutes to learn.

you barely even know wtf it'll do specify and how effective it will be yet.
And you need a sensor room level II to see people on enemy ships as well, and to own sensor room to see most rooms on your ship. (not all vanilla ships got sensor room) etc.

Point Defense System? The player ships are shuttle-sized anyway.

Actually, it seems you'll be able to man your sensors to increase their effectiveness. So, based on what we've seen and deduced so far, sending somebody into a level 1 sensor room will allow you to scan the enemy ship.

We barely even know how will that function either, does that said crew need to be 2 star level or what ever you call it, 'gold' at some other system before operating it? it doesn't look like there is different crew levels of sensors/ doors. etc.

Even if it is 'OP', it is no where near as OP as some weapons in this game or systems, eg teleport or Ion burst II.

Anyway a question if anyone knows, will people who purchased the sound track will get the new music as well? or will it be a mini perches / download? or do we need to rebuy the whole thing?

I don't know if this has already been said, but I am pretty sure that the "Chain L." And the "Charge L." Weapons the L is for "linked". So Chain Linked and Charge Linked weapons.
