Hey, I have a quick question.
What program did you use to design the ship graphics?
I use GIMP but I cannot find a way to make it grid-based so I can give it the FTL 16-bit or whatever vibe.
So I was wondering if there was a program for that.

... ofc noone bothers to tell me that they were off the whole time. Why do they need to be 20 pix greater than the original anyway?

I dunno. Maybe cuz thats the way the game handles cloak graphics, maybe it resizes the shield at the same time it shows it to make a similar effect of a cloak.. so thats the reason 20 pixels more.. but that is optional, u can put watever graphic size u want..

Thats weird, since i was using until now the same image size for cloak than the base image, and i didnt notice that the image is streched. Since we dont know for sure and we dont have an "official" tip about this, i think, u can put the image size u want, if the cloak graphics looks fine, who cares about the cloak graphic being +10, +20 or watever...

Nope. That's how it works. Take a look at vanilla _base and _cloak images in img/ship/ sometime, and compare their dimensions.
