"Well... I'm not sure Jake" Lux said, rather concerned "I mean you are the Captain and it's best that Captains talk face-to-face but these pirates... I get this feeling."
She looked at the bundle of Human fingers. She was quite tempted to grab one and eat it right now. This however set off a warning klaxxon in her mind.
"Captain, their Bosun handed me cooked Human fingers from a food truck. They're crazy cannibals who would probably see you as a meal..."
She gave it some pause "And honestly, they look very appetising. I'd be very careful if you were to meet their Captain with me"

Lux had told Jake and Kyrie about how she played hide & seek and ended up on the shuttle that went to the Pelican with her father. They got infected because the virus was inside the life support systems and they were qurantined for a few weeks until Lux's mother cured them... or so they thought.

Jake radioed Lux.
"Lux, are you going with the pirate?" Jake asked "If you have some.... Reason to meet the captain, go ahead. But I will go with you, it might not be safe to go alone. You never know with people like this. Inform me of your decision before doing ANYTHING- this is a dangerous place. And under no circumstances are you authorized to proceed without me, or someone else. Copy?"

"Count me in, Ruwen can keep watch of the ship while the upgrades are being done"

"I don't know..." Lux said, discreetly throwing the bundle away into the hopper of a cleaning drone. The hopper erupted in a huge column of flame as it incinerated the contents into ash and put on an impressive show.
"But if we are to meet these pirates, look for the Mantis Charlies' food truck" she added, looking for another food stand. Almost as if on cue, she found a truck selling something more reasonable and with her limited money (They took Federation Credits as well) bought herself a burger made of "real" beef. It somehow didn't seem that much different from the vat-grown stuff; either it was a marketing gimmick or the vendor was lying about the authenticity. But it didn't matter to the young woman.

Bren rolled his eyes a bit and after around 5 minutes of searching found Lux and her burger, given his body's unique form he could live off power, of course nutrience from organic material wasn't out of the question just takes longer to process

"So a burger truck...hmm had a burger before, could see why humans like that sort of thing." he said looking at the picture of the burger on the front, he might eat for some pleasure later today

Jake scanned the grand station. He spotted a food truck, and next to it a blonde, in a Fed cadet uniform. Lux my Lux Jake thought, internally mimicking what she called him.

He ran through the crowd, before running head first into a slug, squishing against its slimy belly.

"Hello cutie," the Slug said, slithering around in her sparkly bikini thing. "I can read your thoughts, I know what you like... I know what you desire... My prices are low,"

Jake rolled his eyes and continued on, losing her in the crowd. He wiped the warm sticky slime off his chest, from where he crashed into the slug, and approached Lux.

"All right. Lets go meet this captain" Jake said, placing one hand on his super advanced energy pistol, from the future.

Hearing no response, Kyrie looked back at Lux. It wasn't lux, though. The person wasn't even similar to Lux. The only tear they shared was blond hair. Kyrie apologized in her slurred voice: "Oh... your not Lux. Sorry dude." She stumbled away again and found a chair. She sat down, hearing the others over the comms. "This is your captain speaking. I have a new rule: from now on, all crew members will wear their hair.... loosely about their shoulders." She laughed and leaned back, taking another swig of the bottle.

Hearing no response, Kyrie looked back at Lux. It wasn't lux, though. The person wasn't even similar to Lux. The only tear they shared was blond hair. Jake signaled Kyrie, and WOL, as well as the Robin.
"This is Captain Jake Collins. Me, Lux, and Bren are following up on a lead about these pirates that know about Lux. We are meeting with their captain. Keep me posted on your status, and I will provide status updates on our little adventure. Stay sharp. Stay alert. Stay safe. Jake out." Jake clicked off the radio, and turned to Lux and Bren. "Let's go."

Lux had one hand on the hilt of her blade as she went to the food truck. Charlie chittered "You're back? Can I get you something of greater interest?"
"Those pirates I was talking to earlier" Lux said to the insect.
"I don't think I can do that to my top customers" Charlie laughed as he tapped his claws on a small datapad, like a text message. It was... oddly comical to see the creature tapping away with such delicacy. Although probably not as much as the picture Bren had received earlier.

A few minutes later, Bosun Morgan returned. He was still dressed in his human-skin coat but he came with four other pirates, also dressed similarly; although one of them wore a coat that seemed to have had a lot of colours clashing together in a kaleidoscopic fashion. "You didn't bring the Slugs?" he asked, with a smile "Oh well, your friends here can be a substitute instead..."
The other pirates laughed which may have caused alarm and threats of violence "Only joking."
Lux frowned for a second "So which one of you is the Captain?" None of the guards looked feminine and Morgan did say the Captain was female.
"That would be me" a green-skinned woman said, pushing past the bodyguards. She was about the same height and build as Lux except perhaps with more developed muscles due to the pirate lifestyle. She also appeared to be carrying triplets - wildly actively kicking triplets. "Captain Eden Cortez of the Starship Pelican" she introduced herself, looking at Jake and Bren "Your boyfriend looks rather scrawny and Zoltan, for all their energy are not very filling."
