Spoiler alert: Tabitha isn't human

"Soong? That name sounds familiar, though I don't know what from. Was she in that ship we stopped earlier?" Kr heard Targon talking about the effects of the space whale. "That stuff combined with mantis stomach fluid is going to be the most corrosive liquid we have." He went to his station in door control and waited for orders or something to happen.

((Well it definitely rules out her being a cyborg since even Adam Jensen needed to eat.))

"We're jumping. And don't worry about the federation chase, they should be off our backs for a few jumps now that they know I have my crew. Let's carry on, shall we?"
Quintet activated the map and found the nearest shop. "We've got plenty of scrap. Let's head there."

Tabitha activated the FTL drive and the ship set off for the store.
"Can we not try and blow it up this time..." she muttered "Also, a good replicator would be nice..."

"Hmm. My stomach is okay now." Targon observed. "Good. Alright, I'm going to go to the junk yard and find some cheap deals there, then after that look around and talk to people. If anyone wants to tag along you're welcome to do so."

"I'll be coming aboard, I'll look for a replicator. Anything else we need?" Kr headed toward the air locks as they reached the black market beacon. It was being held in a dead space whale for secrecy. "Hey, maybe we can scrape off some space whale meat for Targon. Hehe"

"It'd have to be from the exterior or just below the skin. You don't want meat from the inside of the whale" Tabitha explained, running scans on the whale itself. "Especially if someone's set up a market inside with life support."
Chances are that can Targon ate came from one such whale's body. Black marketeers tend to not refrigerate their temporary home, she thought to herself.

"Greetings travellers and welcome to our market! Please do not touch the whale or plan to scrape off any pieces of it. Not only is it unsanitary, but we will be forced to shoot at you for stealing our property" a Slug's voice echoed in everyone's heads. "If you would like to purchase meat, you'll have to do it inside."
Bright glowing signs on the blowhole indicated where ships were supposed to dock - the whale's mouth seemed to have about 152 turrets lining it.

"Oh my gosh." Targon blenched at the smell as he went inside the whale. "That is disgusting. It certainly didn't smell like that when I ate it." He scurried over to the junk piles only to find that they had just closed.
"Sorry," The Rock running the yard apologized to Targon as he lit a cigarette, "but dis store have rules, and I gotta obey dem."
Targon slowly paced the booths, looking inside them for odds and ends. "Ooh." He peered into one owned by two Engies and an AI Avatar. "A Hyplus X Programmer. I could use one of those. How much for it?"
"Got a trade?" The AI asked. Targon nodded. "Yup, I have a System Repair blueprint. Interested?" The Avatar scoffed.
"Pffh, you'll need more than that. Got clone gas?" Targon nodded. "Yup, a huge ball of it." The AI agreed to sell it for the cloning liquid and the blueprint, so Targon went back to the ship, copied the blueprint and rolled the ball to the booth, almost knocking a Zoltan down.
"Watch it, buddy," it growled. Targon shrugged and made the trade, then kept looking around. He didn't like how that Zoltan was eyeing him, however...

Tabitha picked up a blaster rifle and a datapad before heading out into store. Some foodstuffs though could not be replicated even by the best replicators (some sort of DRM by the Moncento Intragalactic Corponation).
She checked her shopping list of those sorts of foods while keeping an eye out for anything hostile. There was a Slug nearby probing at her thoughts and a Mantis who was screaming for her to test her mettle at the combat arena. "If you beat the Champion, you win the Grand Prize!"
"And what is the Grand Prize?" Tabitha asked sceptically.
"Prestige I believe. How should I know?" the Mantis screeched.
"That's not a great incentive for me. Maybe my Mantis friends though... or my Lanius friend..."
The Mantis laughed, shaking his head "Don't let them think the Arena is easy sport. There are some real killers in there before you even get the chance to face the Champion!"

Tabitha took note of that and relayed the conversation to the others via the comms. "Might be worth checking out. I'll probably want to watch from afar."

After docking, Kr browsed the booths looking for a quality replicator. "What's our budget for buying stuff? We probably also need to get some repairs." He eyed the slugs around and watched them suspiciously. They could never be trusted. They new how you felt and were incredible persuaders. Of the replicators he saw, most were in bad condition or not the quality to make meat that was actually good. Finally he saw one, and headed toward it. "How much for the replicator?" The zoltan vendor responded: "Ah, a mantis that with a taste for real meat. The price is negotiable, but starts at 30 scrap."
"30 scrap? I could get a mid tier augment for that! I'll give you 15."
"Look, we've got to live here too, a replicator like this don't come around often. They're usually found on fed ships or with rich pirates, neither easy to loot. I'll go down to 25, no less."
Kr let out a low growl. "20 scrap, or I'll walk away, and good luck selling that with those prices."
They stared at each other for a while until the zoltan relented. "Fine, what dock?"
"43, I'll have the scrap waiting." Kr walked off without another glance, looking around aimlessly at products. He responded to Tabitha: "I might be interested, what's the prize?"
