I've also got this,but it's too tiny

A bit too big, maybe as some sort of traveling shop thing. It would make sence that some fugitives would make a ship out of spare parts.

Sure, but you dont have to. All the parts should have the same color(not the crystel) because the people that made it would at some point paint it, but I am not patient enough and dont have the skill to do it.

The engi thing is as you said to small, and the parts dont go together.You should try to use parts from the same race.

Can you post a screen shot with the rooms?

The boss ships should be much bigger than the normal ones. Because that might be a small (but not weak) boss ship, it should be equipped with the best inventions of all races. Maybe some special pirate who installed everything he looted? And with a few normal sized ships around him, that might be a difficult battle. So he might drop one or two of his "experimental systems" after he dies.

Made some more ships!All of those might need some duct tape not to break right after being spawned,but that's ok...
