For the railguns i think it'd be cool if the actual laser would form in a little ball then shoot out kinda like its charging up and creating the laser, if you get what i mean

With the way weapon sprites work, I don't think that would be possible.

Definitely possible! Just needs a little artistic trickery. Check out Taxiservice's Crimson Lady, which has something similar.

Oh alright, i'll think about it. Spriting is the one of the most tedious parts of FTL modding, so that will be one of the last things on my to do list. Right now i'm in the implementing weapon concepts and balancing phase and I would like to hear feedback on those.

Version 0.3 released! Added photocasters with authentic sound effects and projectile sprites. As well as a new missile and a few minor tweaks.

I edited it into the OP when I made the update. And they come on the kestrel for testing purposes. Normally it's as rare and expensive as the glaive beam. As a personal rule of mine, most four bar weapons I make are rarity 5 super weapons to justify the cost.
Anathemos Missiles
Slow to charge, powerful missile that does 8 damage (which also kills most crew in the room it hits as 1 damage translates to 15 crew damage) for four bars of power. Bar the cheated weapons system on rebel elites, is capable of knocking out the entirety of any system it hits.

Sorry about the hiatus guys, but due to illness and having to worry about finals, I hardly have enough time to play my games, nevermind mod them. This project isn't dead, just I won't be developing it for a while.
