Your backup files are probably corrupted. Try deleting the SMM .dat.bak files in the backup dir, and try to patch the mods again, WITHOUT the mods BP&B and CE BP&B compatability patch.
If this fails, you might have to reinstall FTL to get fresh dat files, then retry the SMM patching.

Is endless loot supposed to patch for a really freaking long time?

Pardon me ,but I just cannot get CE to work.I followed all the instructions for the specific things I wanted ,being captain edition ,CE infinite ,and the endless loot for CE infinite.When I put captains edition in ,it says something about warning and appending ,and it does the same-so far as I can tell- for the others too.I tried shaving off endless loot ,because it sort of just stops after that ,and it does indeed load sort of when I do that ,but when the space station loading screen is done ,it says something about missing information or something.I also tried shaving off infinite ,much the same.What's more is even if I were to empty the mods out using slipstreams manager ,the space station loading screen still shows up a long with its problem.Then I have to verify integrity of game cache with steam and reinstall it.As a possibly important side note ,it says two files are off every time I've tried this.Please help.

*Edit* I tried to validate with all three of the files ,which didn't work last night.If I need to ,I can copy and paste all the problems ,but it's a lot of text so I don't think either of us want to look at that if possible.Long story short though , everything but EL appear to have append problems.

First off, I believe this is a problem with your SMM.

First things first, reinstall your FTL game, then go to your SMM folder, and look for the backup subfolder. In that folder, there would be some .bak files. Delete those.

Next, patch the game, but do not toggle anything. This will make SMM create the appropriate backups for your FTL game files, so you won't have to redownload them again.

Finally, toggle all the mods and reorder them in this order:

CE Main
CE Infinite
CE Endless Loot

Make sure you patch it up first WITHOUT the mods before patching WITH the mods.

Thank you for the advice ,it looks to have worked.Now to play!

I just tried to use this modpack and it crashed. I had the base mod, the extra music, the infinite addon, and the infinite loot addon. I loaded them in the correct order with the latest version of the Slipstream Mod Manager, and it got to the end of the loading screen before crashing. I have the crash log here: http://pastebin.com/hr6KU4xS If I did something wrong, my mistake, but if I didn't then I hope this helps out somewhat. I'll try again by uninstalling FTL completely and reinstalling it.

ok considering there are a lot of people apparently having issues with the Infinite Loot addon i thought I should point out that Infinite Loot has 2 versions:

Infinite Loot Addon 0.93(beta) to be used with the Infinite Addon

and

Infinite Loot for Standard Edition 0.93(beta) which are for the normal captains mod, using the wrong version is likely to cause problems, so make sure you download the correct one

I do not think that is the problem, I remember Sleeper said in the Op:

Though I haven't tried it myself yet, I am already doing a run with EL on infinite, so I have yet to try out EL Regular edition with infinite.

Also, the stun noise is still loud and annoying but maybe thats the point !?
