The last line on the other window of Slipstream says

at net.vhati.modmanager.core.ModPatchThread.run<ModPatchThread.java:88>

The game works fine without the randomized items.
Load order is everything even when installing the stuff, if you install something that has an dependency before the dependency itself then slipstream tries to divide by 0 and goes nuts as a result.
CE
Infinite
Random gear

Is that the right order?

I'm fine with how piracy is distributed. Most crew killer ships can engage in piracy already anyway. It also makes sense lore-wise for the Lanius and I don't find the augment useless at all, as it has a good chance to give free stuff from encounters that would otherwise just yield risk for that ship. No one force you to murder people and risk a mutiny. Civilian ships will try to surrender their good more often than not if you manhandle them a little and if they don't you can still just leave. Ships without the license would not get this two takes on free stuff.

Unlocks indeed still work in Infinite and there is even a ridiculously slim chance to pull off the crystal quest. But if you want to farm a certain ship it is just very unlikely that you'll get that quest. AEs method of unlocking is much more reliable. Achievements also still work.

What about the sector name randomizer? It is indeed a nice feature but as i am trying to unlock the ships i dont know which sector is which yet, is there a way for me to disable it just so i know the sectors? Or maybe even a sector name list of some sort? Sorry to be bugging you with this, i just really like your mod but i also want to unlock the other ships :)

You too ;)

Honestly, I wonder why I didn't try this game earlier, considering the combat similarities with Sword of the Stars and Space Empires... and especially despite everyone telling how great it is!
Lunaraia wrote: to be blunt bout it, any and all events can happen in Deep Space, even the Crystal Stasis Pod, however you have to reach the disignated systems to finish the quests if they have criteria for finishing, like the stasis pod quest specifically state you need to be in a rock controlled sector, end of story, most of the others should work though.

That being said, there are still another way to unlock the ships, once you finish the game with any layout of Engi Ship you will unlock the ship to it's immediate right, the Fed Cruiser, finish the Fed Cruiser and you will unlock the the Rock Ship and the Lanius Ship, as Lanius are unlocked once you have unlocked a total of 4 ships and so goes the dance along, to unlock the Crystal cruiser you have to unlock ALL other ships or finish the mission.
Was made this way in Advanced Edition.
Ok, and what about the Captain Edition without the Infinite Addon? It looks like it has a lot of new sectors, does that mean that you're less likely to find the ship unlocking quests? Since I'm missing Mantis, Slug and Rock, I was planning to aim for the Red and Purple sectors, but I suppose that, for instance, you can't find the Slug quests in the new "Industrial Waste Nebula" sectors?

Otherwise the Fed CR unlocks the Zoltan CR, not the Rock one, which is one before last to be unlocked.
lolight2 wrote: Problem is, i can't quite beat the game yet, soo i was looking foward to a new (and probably suitable) ship for me to have the upper hand while fighting the final boss, that is why i was asking if you could still unlock them and if you can disable the random sector names just soo you know what exactly to look for when you are trying to unlock a ship.
Yeah, I'm trying to play mostly on Normal (since the tension of not knowing whether you're going to survive the next encounter makes the game even better), but the Rebel Flagship is another level of difficulty entirely...

There's always the information of the wiki, but I don't want to be spoiled, even if it's kind of frustrating that I've apparently already met some of the requirements for the Mantis twice, but seemingly without having unlocked the necessary previous event(s).

I actually only managed to quest unlock the Stealth CR, and stupidly suicided myself against what seems to be the quest for the Federation CR (while you can often just choose to jump away) (even though I've already unlocked it by beating the boss with the Engi type A CR on Easy).

I'm quite frustrated to have been killed one (or two?) sectors away from unlocking the Crystal CR.

I think that you can actually recognize what kind of sector it is, with a little bit of experience...

Does anyone else have a solution to my problem with Endless Loot not working? I put them in the right order and redownloaded everything but it doesn't patch with Slipstream. Does it usually take extremely long to patch?

Well i am on the newer side of the game (I have been playing it for 2 days) and for what i noticed i have alot of trouble destinguishing the names (Its my problem, not the mod's of course) That is why i wanted an easier way to identify the sectors :D

Well, I haven't seen more than maybe a dozen CE sectors so far (is it me, or AE CE is quite a bit more difficult than Vanilla AE?), but when, for instance, you see a Red sector named something like "Zkzkzkzk" Fleet Hunting Grounds, you can be pretty sure it's a Mantis sector...

Oh, by the way (and that's I'm making a new post), I think I found a bug in CE, regarding the Lanius : Upon the start of the game I talked to a Humanoid crew member, which said his home was in this sector and he wanted to go home, which I obliged since I was going for the "No Air" achievement anyway, (which I learned would be easier not to screw up by mistake by playing completely opening all ship doors to the vacuum of space and keeping the oxygen generator destroyed, which also annoyingly makes for quite a bit of crew micromanagement as the non-Lanius keep dying every minute or so), but arriving at the quest beacon, it's not the Humanoid that "went away", but one of the Lanius!

(I'm not sure if that matters, but the Humanoid was in the process of being cloned, which makes for some interesting roleplay : "We made your family member suffer innumerable torment by asphyxiation death, you can have him back in just a minute when he finishes being cloned, he recently died again  " Hmm, maybe I should have named my ship Ninth Circle of Hell / Cocytus / Judecca ? )

There's also another thing I'm not completely sure it's a bug, but I lost a Lanius to a disease in the Quarantine Sector... I'm already not sure you should be able to lose Rocks to that, but Lanius is even more far-fetched!

Oh, and I had the augment that delays the Rebels by 1 turn, and that's what the game showed me at the Quarantine Sector start, while another time when I went to that sector without the augment, IIRC the game showed that the Rebel fleet had been delayed for 3 turns!

Can you post the SMM screen with the order of the loaded mods you are using, and a screen shot of your failure/error while patching, and the patch process by the SMM? Just to get an idea of what's going on your end ;)

Can you post screen shots of the SMM patched mods window, the command line patching process by the SMM and the actual error/failure you get? Just to get an idea of what's wrong ;)

That should do it. It's frozen like that.
