Maybe read through the last pages of this thread and the SMM thread to see if people had similar problems and how they got it fixed. If you run a 32b system and the SMM stops processing when patching EL then you might have to extend javas headspace (google tells you how.)

Troubleshooting

Modded game crashes when reaching the main menu:
First make sure you observed the load order shown bellow the download links (you have to drag the mods into the right order within the mod manager window to establish your load order.)
If the crash persist: Reinstall FTL or verify its game data with steam. Delete the content of the /backup folder of the mod manager or delete the entire mod manager end extract it anew (do not override the old mod manager, crashes can be caused by pre AE backup files in SMM that will not be removed this way).
If crashes persist: Read through the last pages of the SMM thread to see if anyone had similar problems and how they got fixed.

Mod manager freezes upon processing the Endless Loot addon:
If you have a 64b system, make sure that you have the 64b version of java installed. If you have a 32b system, find out (aka google) how to extend javas headspace. That might or might not fix it. A future version of SMM might be able to handle this mod more reliably.

Game crashes upon jumping to a beacon/sector or upon choosing an event option:
Please report the crash in the thread. If you want to help out, then provide as much information as possible (screenshot?; sector name?; event type: open space?, nebula?; in case you had scanning augs: hostile present at beacon?, hazard present at beacon?) Remember that you can still continue your run with AEs crash save.

That is intentional. Its an utility vessel without proper medical facilities, the crew has to rely on medbots for healing.

If you make sure that you observe the load order and have a fresh SMM install for AE it should work. If you read through the last four pages of the thread you will find many suggestions on how to get the mod working.

Yeah, you should also do a fresh install of SMM or remove the content of its backup folder. The error you experience might stem from using a pre AE SMM install in your new AE folder, which will mix the old backup file with the new AE files. You can read through the last pages of the thread to see if people had the same problem.

EL is indeed designed to be used only with Infinite right now (mentioned right below the download link I believe :roll: .) If you use it with regular CE stuff like this will happen. You will also have to face deep space elites in sector 5 and onwards if. So its not advisable to play normal CE with EL enabled. I consider doing a version for main CE once EL is more or less finished.

Yep, that's right.

Playing Infinite might result in some very high stats though (beacons explored and such.) You can backup your .prof file if you want to keep your non-mod stats.

If I'm not being annoying in asking for it, would you mind making a patch that removes the crew suiciding events? It's rather irritating not realising it's an act of piracy until after the game tells you "This is an act of piracy, you lose a crew-member". Or add an option to back up and just not do it?

You can back up if they attempt to surrender. If you kill them you'll have to bear the consequences. You do this one time and then you know forever how piracy might effects the crew (unless you play ships of the hostile factions.) Do want the the entire piracy penalty removed just cause you where not prepared for it the first time? The suicide scenario has actually been rewritten in the current version, that might have been a little over the top if it happens more than once in one run. :roll:

Im getting a problem whenever i start up the game and i can not seem to fix it. Im trying to use CE standard and whenever it finishes loading i get this error.

Hey guys. I've just installed CE after playing the game a ton in standard mode, but for some reason the ship upgrades seem rather excessive.

250 metal for the first level of weapons on the Kestral B ship, going up to 800 metal for the final level? I checked out some of Total Biscuit's video on the mod, and he seemed to have the normal looking upgrade costs.

In slipstream, I have the order being:

Better Planets 1.3.1
CE 1.204
CE BPaB 1.0
CE Endless Loot 0.92

Which is the correct order as posted. Everything else in the mod seems to be working fine, it's just the ship upgrade costs are kinda insane!

CE Endless Loot is a subaddon for CE Infinite. That is mentioned in right below the download link by the way. CE Endless Loot wont work correctly with main CE alone, you will have to decide if you want to play indefinitely with CE Infinite or play regular CE without Endless Loot. I recommend you read through the first post to see what the different components of CE actually do and how you should handle them.

Drone generation in Endless Loot should be fixed now. RannI is also making great progress with the visual variants, so at some point we will have visually different gear in the Endless Loot Addon.

CE Enless Loot 0.93
- Fixed a problem concerning the generation of combat and defense drone variants, these should actually work now

Thanks for the fast reply, and sorry for missing that. Thought I'd read everything, but clearly not.

However, I have tried that, so the new load order is:

Better planets 1.3.1
CE 1.204
CE BPaB 1.0
CE Infinite 1.204
CE Endless loot 0.92
CE Non EL enemy 1.0

And I'm still getting the error. I even tried reinstalling the game but still that same thing is happening.

Doing some testing, the error pops up even with just the following mods:
Better planets 1.3.1
CE 1.204
CE BPaB 1.0
CE Infinite 1.204

Without the endless loot even running. I went through them adding them one at a time, It was fine until Infinite was added.

:roll: This is not an error. Exponential upgrade scaling is a part of CE Infinite. Infinite gameplay would become boring quickly if you can max out within 10 sectors. It's all in the description...
