Since updating to the new 1.204 version I've noticed a problem where the turret/gun on some enemy defence drones seem to spin around wildly.

I'd like to start of by saying thanks to all involved in this project. So I've been playing CE infinite for a while now with endless loot, and decided to disable only infinite, but the scrap costs to upgrade your ship with endless loot still enabled are the same as infinite. Is endless loot designed this way to only be used with infinite?

Unfortunately I'm getting a crash when I try to boot the game after applying the mod. I'm getting a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error that reads thusly:
Assertion failed!
Program: ...
File: src/rapidxml/rapidxml.hpp

Any suggestions/ideas how to make this work? The crash endures even if I uninstall the mod with SMM, so I have to uninstall the game and install again.
My platform is Windows 7 64bit.

i must be the only one because with FTL captains edition 1.204 in slipstream mod manager V1.4 its telling me that there is allot wrong with the mod :/ i have tried to get it to work but it keeps coming up with a run-time error which has already been posted and each time i load it and it doesn't work i need to re download FTL, am i doing something wrong?

Ignore my bug report, I managed to sort it out by using a fresh install of SMM.
Thanks for the work you put into these mods.

Just a quick question that's probably already been asked and answered before, but this is a long thread!
Will installing this overwrite my save file in vanilla? I don't want to lose my ship unlock progress ...

It doesn't ovewrite your save, I don't think there's any mod that does that.

That is intentional. Its an utility vessel without proper medical facilities, the crew has to rely on medbots for healing.

If you make sure that you observe the load order and have a fresh SMM install for AE it should work. If you read through the last four pages of the thread you will find many suggestions on how to get the mod working.

Yeah, you should also do a fresh install of SMM or remove the content of its backup folder. The error you experience might stem from using a pre AE SMM install in your new AE folder, which will mix the old backup file with the new AE files. You can read through the last pages of the thread to see if people had the same problem.

EL is indeed designed to be used only with Infinite right now (mentioned right below the download link I believe

.) If you use it with regular CE stuff like this will happen. You will also have to face deep space elites in sector 5 and onwards if. So its not advisable to play normal CE with EL enabled. I consider doing a version for main CE once EL is more or less finished.

Yep, that's right.
Playing Infinite might result in some very high stats though (beacons explored and such.) You can backup your .prof file if you want to keep your non-mod stats.

I have done everything down to the most minute detail
I cannot, for some reason, get Endless Loot to work.
I'm getting a long, string of errors in the mod manager.
And I don't know why.
I am using all the latest versions of SMM, CE, CE infinite and CE Infinite endless loot
anyone have any idea what's wrong?
My buddy did exactly what I did and it worked first time
EDIT: I'm updating Java now, I'll let you know if it helps. (I've done everyting from the past posts, fresh installed SMM, cleared backups, reinstalled FTL. hell, I even managed to make it so the mod manager loaded CE as vanilla, and it's always Endless loot that causes the issue)
EDIT 2: Updated Java, still no luck. Anybody have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

SleeperService you are so awesome! I can't play ftl without captains edition. The regular updates makes the mod more alive. I love your work. Thanks for the mod!
