Looking forward to the release of FTL Editor v22. Personally I don't think people understand how much work Vhati has put into this project. His work is really taken for granted. Props to you Vhati for all the hard work you have put into making FTL one of the best editable PC games on the market.

I'd love to use this, but since the update to AE was mandatory on the steam version, I can't use this to edit the save game. I've tried using the DISABLE button and then saving and quitting, but no avail. I certainly hope you can get the AE codes figured out soon. Otherwise, great tool for profile editing.

I've got the parser reaching the end of saved games now, almost every time.

Asteroid fields are adding a few bytes; I haven't pinned down a reliable indicator yet saying "The bytes you're about to read are space rocks. The projectiles you normally see here come after."

Then, I'll write similar code in reverse: turn greeked objects into bytes and save.

I might release v22 before the saving, just to collect bug reports.

I'd take the bug-test release, if it helps the quality of the following release.

If he wanted help, he would have asked for it.
Quit trying to get the new release because it isn't probably 1/4 done.

What makes you think I'm just trying to get the new release (in the derogatory tone the rest of your message implies), as opposed to responding to his comment about making such a release? his laugh emoticon after it makes it seem like he's laughing the idea off as though we wouldn't welcome such a release. My intention, and I assume the intention of the person who posted right before me, was to say "don't laugh it off, if it'll help find bugs, I'd certainly participate."

Well, I feel like It would be a benefit to the final product as well. He may first want to run a preliminary bug finding and work out anything serious, so its not just a huge beehive of bugs

I wish I had any sort of skill that would be useful, but alas, I'm not too well versed in the technicalities of such things. I tried to look for some of my friends that would be able to help but I didn't get anyone that had time. I wish you luck on your endeavor, but that's about all the support I can give you at the moment.
